Project goal:
A cross-team strategic initiative aimed at improving the end-to-end shopping journey through AI, addressing key user pain points. The objective is to align multiple product areas around shared, user-centered goals, eliminate duplicated work, and ensure consistency in how the AI-based interface interacts with users.
My role & process:
The project started as a search-focused assistant and later evolved into a broader initiative covering the entire shopping journey, bringing together multiple (20+) cross-silo teams. I joined at this stage, co-leading the full-scope discovery phase together with a senior product manager and a principal engineer.
• Co-defined the vision, value proposition, and scope for the end-to-end assistant.
• Coordinated the work of designers across independent product teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
• Coordinated contribution to the design system.
• Designed and facilitated a series of workshops that defined the project’s foundations:
• an early workshop with key stakeholders to clarify strategy, goals, scope, and phases;
• design workshops to establish shared design principles, experience vision, design-system direction, and a shared research framework;
• and an operational workshop to define “closest next steps” and build a roadmap for the coming quarters.
Project delivered as part of my full-time role at Allegro (internal product work).
What the project gained:
• Defined Value Proposition, scope & key phases (core work group intensive workshops)
• Alignment around a shared UX vision across independent teams.
What I learned:
• How to scale UX impact across independent teams even without formal hierarchy.
• Practical insights on managing the design of a large AI-based interface.
